Call manager help what goes with what?

Just trying to wrap my head around licensing Call Manager - if a customer has CM 6 and wants to add some phones, can we sell the phones and the licenses as separate items e.g.:


1x CP-7961G

1x SW-CCM-UL-7961


Or would you have to supply the phone and then license it using the LIC-CM-DL-10 part code for instance (obviously depending on number of phones bought the license part code might change)?


When you use the configuration tools its show the following single liences


CUCM 3.x or 4.x RTU lic. for single IP Phone 7961



Does this mean the liences you get with the phone is only for versions 3.X- to 4.x and to use version 5 you do it using the LIC-CM-DL-10 part - ????

You have it right :) For CCM 5.x and 6.x you need the LIC-CM-DL-10 and as you noted this would increase depending on the number and model of phone you were installing.


These part #'s are for 3.x and 4.x CCM Deployments.

1x SW-CCM-UL-7961
