Extension Mobility and Least Cost Routing

Hi

I have implemented Least Cost Route in the following manner:

A user in Sao Paulo dials:

0[2-6]XXXXXX to reach a local telephone, through a local gateway (Sao Paulo GW)

0021[2-6]XXXXXXX to make a long distance call, through a remote gateway (Rio de Janeiro GW)

These two routes are exclusive to Sao Paulo users ( CSS for Sao Paulo users )

A user in Rio de Janeiro dials:

0[2-6]XXXXXX to reach a local telephone, through a local gateway (Rio de Janeiro GW)

0011[2-6]XXXXXXX to make a long distance call, through a remote gateway (Sao Paulo GW)

These two routes are exclusive to Rio de Janeiro users ( CSS for Rio de Janeiro users )

The issue is: when a user from Sao Paulo goes to Rio, logs in the Extension Mobility and needs to dial to a local number in Rio, he has to dial like if he was placing a long distance call, because dialing only local would call a local number in Sao Paulo instead of Rio.

Is there a way to implement a dialing plan in which the users could call local numbers wherever they are without dialing long distance calls to reach a local PSTN phone ?

How do you normally implement this kind of solution ?

Thanks in advance !!

Rod

unfortunately EM does not have the ability to know where you're located and since the CSS is a fixed parameter of the UDP that's why you get that behavior.

one option would be to create another UDP for the users who log in both offices and have one profile per office so they always use the local resources
