I have a Cisco 7606 router with IPSEC VPN SPA installed. I have been experiencing performance challenges on this device. The device currently functions are my WAN aggregator, terminating over 1000 links. The following services run off this device:

Over 1000 GRE tunnels , each running IPSEC, to remote offices

RIP between the remote offices and the central office

OSPF between the device and two other devices within the core

Hi,

PID 319 is causing excessive CPU usage.

Possible...

- IOS Bug

- Debug is turn ON, disable it by executing "no debug all" or "undebug all"

Check the logs if there is any possible problem.

If you have a back-to-back maintenance with Cisco, capture the output of "show tech-support" and "show stacks 319". 319 is the PID of the process causing the high CPU utilization. Log a case to TAC
