DHCP Snooping and IP Source Guard

Unanswered Question
Mar 11th, 2008

Hi. I need to configure DHCP snooping and IP source guard, but the DHCP server is not directly connected to the access layer, and is actually seperated by a layer three boundary.

The Topology is very simple

ACCESS LAYER > Routed Connection > SERVER SWITCH.

Can i still use DHCP snooping and if so where would it be configured?

Thanks in advance

I have this problem too.

You should configure DHCP snooping in all switches in your network. The switchports facing the DHCP servers and other switches should be trusted switchports while all other switchports should be configured as untrusted.
