Switch 4510R experiencing unexpected reloads

Hi everyone,

I have a 4510-R with 2(two) ws-x4516-10ge supervisor boards, over last week this equipment is experiencing unexpected reloads. This behavior is randomly, in the best situation the equipment stayed up for 3(three) days in the worst up for 6(six) hours.

The show version output command says the “System returned to Rom by reload”.

Looking for some tips on Cisco website I found a Field Notice: “FN - 62479 (WS-X4516-10GE and WS-X4013+10GE Supervisors May Reset Due to Multibit ECC Error)”.

The symptom of my problem is very similar to symptom described in this document except that my equipment doesn't leave a crashdump file, but Supervisors Part-Numbers and Hw Revisions match the products affected.

Do you guys believe that is the solution of my problem?

Thanks,

1-take a look at crashinfo "sh platform crashdump " and analyse it.

2-which IOS are u using, try to upgrade to a newer version.

3- swap SUP, as it might be faulty and monitor.
