I am performing a vulnerability scan of our network using Nessus. When I scan my Cisco 6513 Chassis' they both crash and reboot. I am running the Nessus scan in "safe check" mode so only the non-dangerous plugins are running against it. I am running image file:

sup-bootdisk:s72033-ipservices_wan-vz.122-18.SXF11.bin

anyone else out there run into this? Thanks.

Hi,

Nope, even with the dangerous plugins. I don't have the same switch though.

Anything from the Nessus scan result and switch logs/crash dump that can give you any idea?

I usually scan my network from all segment...

- Internet Segment (which is usually hardened). I just want to see if anything is open that needs to be close and if anything that is need to be left open but has vulnerability that need to be address immediately

- Internal Segment. Which I want to see if any ports open for access from trusted host/ has vulnerability that need to be address immediately

- Local host (for servers only). Which I want to see vulnerability from itself that need to be address immediately
