SPF and Partial SPF in IS-IS

Hi,

I would like to understand the basics of the SPF algorithm and the specially the partial SPF as its used in IS-IS. Any pointers?

In IS-IS this partial SPF is usually named as Partial Route Computation (PRC):

I recently came across this Routing Freak page and I find it pretty cool! It is interesting to explore the information there. It includes many more things about routing explained nicely by someone involved in routing protocol development.
