ISCSI Traffic w/Sup 720 Gig Trunks

Unanswered Question
Mar 13th, 2008

I have 2 6509's with SupII's installed that have a GigE trunk link between them. We noticed ISCSI traffic taxing the CPU on the SUP when ISCSI traffic was traversing the Gig link. We are upgrading to Sup 720's soon and I'm hoping this situation should be resolved. Has anyone seen the performance on ISCSI traffic traversing Gig trunk links on a Sup 720?

I have this problem too.

Is it possible that you have ip cef disabled on the gig interface? Something like no ip route-cache? The Sup720's will largely remove the CPU hog but I think having CEF on would help out also.
