7960/7940 automatically reconfigures

Phones part of a Wireless Point to Point Link plugged into a CISCO 2800 switch; I am able to do data, but voice is hit/miss - the distant end is able to process/complete a call and then the phone automatically reconfigures. This occurs 90% of the time. Messages listed on phone says 1) call manager down feature disabled or 2) configuring speed and then reset. My network tech can see the phones in the call manager as registered, but the phones continue to do this.
