Cisco Unity Conversation: Subscribers Can Receive System Broadcast Messages

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity/405/release/notes/cu405rn.html#wp423116

•System broadcast messages do not light message waiting indicators (MWIs) on subscriber phones, nor do they cause distinctive dial tones to notify subscribers of a new message when they pick up their desk phone receiver. System broadcast messages also do not trigger message notifications for alternative devices, such as a pager or another phone.

If using H323 you should already have them in place, otherwise you wouldn't be able to reach the mobile

dial-peer voice 1 pots

incoming called-number .

dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric

dial-peer voice 2 voip

destination-pattern 9T

dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric

the rest of the config for the dial-peers depends on the ports, codecs, etc

Hi Wissam,

For question #1;

Broadcast Messages do not light MWI's. You can setup a Public Distribution List to accomplish this and Light MWI's;

From Unity Master Jeff Lindborg;

For question #2;

Cisco Unity with CallManager Problem with DTMF

Hope this helps!
