Hi,

Can any body help me about the loadbalancing in WAN connectivity. if multiple links are available how we can impliment the load balancing.?

please help me to find the solution.

Hi Sham, You can go for Multilink/GLPB/Per Packet/Per Destination/BGP. Its also depends on your network infrastructures and/or requirement. Thanks Goutam

As Goutam notes, much will depend on you network infrastructure.

There are many techniques, all not exlusive.

You might start balancing at the gateways, if more than one, e.g. GLBP.

You might do it via routing, often routing protocols support multiple equal cost paths, e.g. OSPF.

You might do it by bundling or channeling links, e.g. multilink PPP.

You might do it by dynamic load balancing technology, e.g. OER/Pfr.

You might do it by dedicated appliances.

(NB: above examples are not all inclusive.)

You need to provide what you have and what you want to acheive.

It makes a difference in what direction to send you.

For example:

2 T-1 from same ISP same POP

-Recommend equal weight static routes

2 T-1 different providers (Load share)

-Recommend apply for ASN, apply for own IP space, run BGP, receive full routing table, update RADb.

2 T-1 different providers (Load Share)

-Run PfR

As you can see there are many different ways to get what you want we just need to know what you want to do and/or what you have.
