QoS on engine 0 LC

Unanswered Question

We applied "tx-cos" command (MDRR) on our GSR's Engine 0 DS3 Line Card. I would like to know the command which will show the statistics output of this command (similar to the one when we apply policy map command).. Is there any specific command to view the statistics?

thanks in advance

I have this problem too.

using MDRR on an engine0 6DS3 Linecard you can monitor the scheduler using the following commands:

show interface ser / random-detect

and show cos statistics [all | slot#]

the second one will show stats at linecard level not port level.

The first one shows stats about discarded packets at the port level for each random-detect label.

According to test labs we did in the past (some years ago however) MDRR is effective and its behavior is correct only when you configure WRED for each queue.

if you are using MDRR in a IP only scenario (no MPLS) and you are not using all the interfaces on the linecard you could use an IP ACL to count for your outgoing traffic on each class/queue.

hope to help

Best Regards
