Flash hardware upgrade (Cisco 2501 router)

I need to upgrade my Flash memory in order to accomodate the latest IOS (12.3)for my Cisco 2501 router. I purchased 2-8 MB Flash memory. I installed the 2 Flash memory sticks but it's showing 2 partitions (1 & 2), how can I combine these 2 partition to make 1 single partition with 16 MB total. Thank you in advance and I really appreciate your help.

Hi

Erase the flash then enter the command

partition flash 1

which will create a single flash memory partition.
