Is it possible to install a Cisco Unity Express on another type of module for Lab purposes (for example, on NM-IDS or NM-NAM)? The hardware is exactly the same, and there is no way to say, what module it is without looking at the front plate. The only "logical" difference is in what module report as an FRU code (device type), which is written in EEPROM BIOS. So, could it be any way to re-flash BIOS with another FRU code, and install NM-CUE over that?

There is no documented way, if you can find one that would be by reverse engineering and completely unsupported by cisco.

I'm not going to get support from Cisco for this module - I need it for Voice Lab practice, and I don't want to spend a couple grands. I have a couple decommissioned NM- modules around, and was wondered, if I can get some use of them.
