We are experiencing problems with gig switches (3750 & 6500) when set to fixed 100MB/Full duplex.

Can anyone point me to a good document with recommendations? I vagely remember something about leaving gig interfaces on auto, but i can't remember why...

YOu can hard set them but you need to do it at both ends. Are you sure it's not a cable or MDI/MDIX problem?
