Epings fail

Unanswered Question
Mar 25th, 2008

We are trying to setup a guest wlan with an anchor controller in the DMZ. Right now we have icmp and mpings working but cannot get any response from epings. This looks like an issue with the IP 97 traffic. My question is on a PIX 525 running PIX 6.3 how do I allow the etherip traffic.

I have tried the following

access-list inbound permit 97 host dmzIP host foreignIP

access-list dmz permit 97 host foreignIP host dmzIP

This doesn't seem to allow the traffic. Any suggestions would be appriciated.

I have this problem too.

Try the option ccess-list deny tcp any any eq to create a ACL statement defining the traffic. To apply it to specific interface use the coomand access-group in interface inside.
