4507 reloading mystery

Hi All,

One of our 4507Rs is periodically reloading but it does not give any clue as to why, for example there are no chrashdump files and the sh ver output states that the reason was down to a reload. We've tried upgrading the firmware to no avail (our other 4507s are running the same code with no problems).

Anyone else out there experienced the same thing and then got a solution?

Hi Scott ,

how many slots are filled on 4507R switches and what modules are instlled on the switch.

If possible send us show tech of the switch.

Hi scottwilliamson,

I think a syslog and monitoring tool lke mrtg or prtg. will help yo in finding the cause.
