Is it possible to setup paging using the phone speakers without having to buy a third party application? We currently have CM 4.1.3.

You could setup a phone in a common area, crank the speaker volume up. Setup PLAR (ring down) to this phone and have it autoanswer on speaker phone. Basically you can then just call that extension (shared many extensions) and have it auto answer, announce the page and hang up. You can lock this down by CSS and PTs so only certain people have access to do this.

Check out this link.

Look into a company called PagePac.

We have used their Australian arm to integrate paging into our CCM environment.

We configure an ATA with a DN, say 300 and whenever anyone wants to use the paging system they dial 300, the paging system plays an 'attention' tone and now they can page, they simply hang up when done paging.

The 1st analogue phone port on the ATA plugs into their 'PagePac' box, which when it receives ringing voltage from the ATA it weaves it's magic... (sorry I'm not familiar with the way in which the PagePac box works, only that it does.)

Or you can look here http://www.2ring.com/ipps

5 points for you! That is a sweet program. Know how much it runs?

Thanks for the post!

I think it depends on size of your IP telephony and what exactly you want.

Send an email to info@2ring.com with information about number of lines and which module you need and they will send you detailed info.
