Cards not present with IOS advised on 6506

Hello,

We have a 6506 that we want use for spare. We have several cards to install in chassis and among them there is one WS-X6748-GE-TX and one WS-X6148A-GE-TX. When i look at software advisor i see that i can install these 2 IOS to run the 6506 with these 2 cards. IOS are : s72033-ps-mz.122-17d.SXB11a.bin and s72033-psv-mz.122-18.SXD7b.bin.

I tried with these two images but it doesn't work, cards are not recognized.

So my question is, with which IOS i can run my 6506 with cards WS-X6748-GE-TX and WS-X6148A-GE-TX recognized and working ?

Hi Florian,

The WS-X6148A-GE-TX requires very new software... I believe that you would need IOS version 12.2(18)SXF or later to recognize those cards.

The WS-X6748-GE-TX should be recognized with the versions you have tried, but let us know what happens after the upgrade.
