interfaces go down and up, WHY?

Hello guys,

My ADSL is configured on 827-4V, all of the suddent the Internet goes down, upon checking, I found out these messages:

*Mar 1 06:58:51.314: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface Virtual-Access2, changed state to down

*Mar 1 06:58:51.314: %DIALER-6-UNBIND: Interface Vi2 unbound from profile Di0

*Mar 1 06:58:51.894: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface ATM0, changed state to down

*Mar 1 06:58:52.314: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface Virtual-Access2, changed state to down

*Mar 1 06:58:52.894: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface ATM0, changed state to down

*Mar 1 06:59:31.878: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface Virtual-Access2, changed state to up

*Mar 1 06:59:31.878: %DIALER-6-BIND: Interface Vi2 bound to profile Di0

*Mar 1 06:59:32.350: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface ATM0, changed state to up

*Mar 1 06:59:33.350: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface ATM0, changed state to up

*Mar 1 06:59:35.998: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface Virtual-Access2, changed state to up

could somebody tell me what's wrong?

ADSL interface lost sync. Can be cause by ISP/line issues or you might benefir from an IOS upgrade.

When do you notice the line down?

What does your interface look like when the line is down? Are you getting any errors that would force the connection down?

From the output above it is too hard to know what happen, but first guess would be ISP issue. You would need to try to isolate the issue when the link is having the trouble. I would even go as far as testing with the ISP doing some loop tests to stress the line and check for errors and dropped packets.
