I am in the middle of upgrading from Unity 4.0.4 to 5.0.2. I have a W2k3 server running 4.0.4 with Exchange 2003. One thing I have noticed is I don't see the M: drive that typically houses the Exchange users and messaging. Is this something different with Exchange 2003.
This is VM only with Exchange onbox.

Yes, with Exchange 2003, there is no more "M" drive.

So where are the message files actually stored at?

They are still there... MSFT hide the "M" drive. You find more information here.
