3524XL Trunking issue with MSFC

Hello recently I connected my G0/1 (3524) to my Pri msfc. When I connected it to the Pri msfc theswitch failed over to the Sec msfc then failed back, hsrp went into a state change. Is that normal? I looked into it and it only happened for a split second but I would not think that would happen just by trunking a switch. I had already trunked two other switches to the Pri/Sec msfc's. Can someone please help me out with this? Thanks!

I think you will find that when you change an interface to a trunk, or any other mode change, it goes down and then back up. This is probably what triggered the changeovers.

I had already setup and connected two other 3524 switches.
