I am upgrading WS-X6K-S2-MSFC2 board for Cat 6500. In front of me I have two memory modules:
MEM-2S-512MB and
MEM-MSFC2-512MB
I was expecting these to be different in their shape and size, but they look identical. I have validated that the MEM-MSFC2-512MB is correct and does fit.
Can anyone please confirm the shape size of MEM-2S-512MB
These two documents suggest that the appearance is somewhat different:
SUP2 DRAM Upgrade

MSFC2 DRAM Upgrade

Essentially, my question is that in reality do both modules look very similar or do I have the incorrect SUP2 DRAM module in front of me?. At the moment I am unable to remove the board - sanity check required please. According to the doc's The MSFC2 mem is more 'square' shaped (this is correct). However, the SUP2 dram module as depicted within the doc would appear more 'rectangular' shaped, whereas the one I have is more squarer.
thanks in advace
