Upgrade from C100 to C150

We buy new C150 and want to do upgrade from our C100 to C150.
Can we just save configuration on C100 and load on C150 ?
What about feature keys - how move licenses from C100 serial number to new C150 ?

Concerning your license keys, notify the Ironport representative that you purchased your Ironport C150 through that you want to transfer the support agreement and license keys from the C100 to the C150.

For the configuration file, save your configuration file from the C100 with the passwords not encrypted.

Hook up the C150 in the data root and go through the system setup wizard using serial console and Hyperterminal. See if you can assign it a temporary IP. Try and upgrade the C150 to the same version as the original C100 so that the configuration file can be more easily imported.

Once the C150 is on a similar version/build, you can upload the config file into the C150 and then shutdown the C100.

Do license keys transfer will immediately disable C100 working or I will have some time to transfer ?

What about settings which have different values in C100 and C150 (for example quarantine size) ?

All new appliances will come with a default of 30 days for all the keys automatically. You will need to go into the new C150 and click Yes on all the EULA (End user license agreement) [Security Services > Anti-spam , anti-virus, etc].

* Make a note to check in a week if the license keys have transferred. Make sure your Ironport sales representative or reseller know that you've upgraded your existing C100 to a C150. They'll need to transfer both your support agreement and license keys. For example, let's say you have two years of lic keys on your old C100. Once everything is said and done on your C150, it will have 30 days + 2 yrs worth of lic keys.

For features like quarantine size, you may need to go in and verify that the setting is what you want it to be. Don't assume that things will be exactly the same.
