ATM issue for a ATM Newb

Hi-

We just converted to an ATM circuit at a remote location. Naturally I educated myself as much as possible prior to the cut-over. Unfortunately it seems as though I didn't learn enough.

Here goes...

Out of the 2 ATM interfaces (ATM0/1/0 & ATM 0/1/1) only one is showing up & up.

DorelPCOln#show ip int brief

Interface IP-Address OK? Method Status Protocol

FastEthernet0/0 192.168.171.1 YES NVRAM up up

FastEthernet0/1 192.168.170.1 YES NVRAM up up

ATM0/IMA0 unassigned YES unset down down

ATM0/IMA0.777 unassigned YES unset down down

ATM0/IMA0 unassigned YES unset down down

ATM0/IMA0.777 unassigned YES unset down down

ATM0/IMA3 unassigned YES NVRAM up up

ATM0/IMA3.777 10.250.20.81 YES NVRAM up up

Serial0/0/0 unassigned YES NVRAM down down

Serial0/0/0.1 10.250.20.53 YES NVRAM down down

ATM0/1/0 unassigned YES NVRAM down down

ATM0/1/1 unassigned YES NVRAM up up

Tunnel0 192.168.200.2 YES NVRAM up up

The AL LED is also blinking on ATM 0/1/0.

Also, when debugging ATM events I see this every second:

Mar 31 21:40:42.892: atm_aim_uni_reset ATM0/1/0

When debugging ATM errors this occurs almost 2 times per second:

Mar 31 21:40:15.968: ATM(ATM0/1/1): ATM not active yet

The confusion here is that it's telling me something about each int, not just one.

Rather than dragging this out too far I'll include what I think is the realvant configs and go from there.

Thanks,

Jasen

Please check output of "show controllers T1". If one is down, unless you want to "try" with one single circuit (requires reducing your pvc mcr to like 1.5 mbps), you need it repaired first.

Note unrelated: on a 3 mbps links, configuring vbr with an mcr of 3072, pcr 3072 and burst size 1 cells, is exactly the same than configuring UBR 3072, CBR 3072, or nothing at all! That is, the command is not doing anything.

Unfortunately we had to migrate back to our old circuit because of an unplanned outage.

That being said I wanted to include the output of the sh 'show controllers T1' command in an effort to try and find out if there is anything could be easily diagnosed(even though nothing is even plugged in). I doubt it will be of help but I wanted to try.
