I have a question about a loop guard mechanism. How many time the loop-guard waits before changing the port state into loop-inconsistent with 802.1d. Those it waits 3 x hello time or max-age time ?
It depends on what STP version u run.If it is 802.1d it waits for 20 seoconds, else 6 seconds.In other words, loopguard prevents a port from moving to forwarding state, becuase it stopped receiving bpdus.
