Basic Video over IP Question

Hi There,

My customer would like to implement videoconferencing and wants to know which software and hardware is required for such a solution. Do all Unified handsets support this feature, and do we only need Call Manager?

I feel I may be missing something, as I have read of Ciscos many h/w platforms.

For internal video conferencing you will require Meeting place express. This links in with call manager and will allow you to use voice and video conferencing. CCM on its own will only allow voice conferencing not Video.

You then have a massive choice of clients that you can use. Normal for single users video advantage is used which is a web cam that connects to personal communicator or pretty much any 79XX phone. For larger scale like conference rooms you have tandberg and sony video screens which mostly all work with Call manager 5.X and up wards.
