I'm not an IPT engineer but we have a requirement to formulate a DR process for bringing up our Cisco IPT Publisher at a different site (and subnet) should our main site fail.
We currently have hundreds of phones that register with this publisher.
Our IPT provider are telling us that the publisher has to keep the same IP address - - is this true.?
This causes us a problem as obviously the subnet the publisher already exists on is being advertised into the WAN and we couldn't have the same subnet at 2 sites at once.
I find this hard to believe but would appreciate any guidance.
we already have documentation for that procedure:
Changing the IP Address for Cisco Unified CallManager / Unified Communications Manager
Of course you can change it, just follow the doc and make sure there is full connectivity between all the servers after changing the IP.
if this helps, please rate
