Can an AP1242 as a WGB associate with a non root Bridge

Following scenario:

I have a root bridge with wireless client and a non root bridge with wireless client. This works fine, now I need to have a WGB. This works only when the WGB is associated with the "root bridge with wireless client". The WGB do not associate with the "non root bridge with wireless client".

Software Version 12.4 (10b)

All types are 1242 ap's.

Is there any solution?

I think it should be able to associate as a WGB with a non root bridge. But to cofirm that you can check the configuration guide of AP1242 available in Cisco.com.
