BVI is a Layer3 representation of a bridge-group.

A bridge-group is implemented on an interface when you want to change its default behavior from Layer3 to Layer2.

A 3750-E switch interface is already communicating in Layer2 and if you want a Layer3 representation of that interface, then you use a SVI (Switch Virtual Interface), not a BVI.
