Octel Integration to Call Manager

With the DPA being EoS what are folks doing to integrate with Octel.

I have a customer with a Nortel Option 11 and Octel VM. They will be adding CM 6.x with a number of IP phones but want to continue to use Octel. Obviously we need MWI on the IP phone.

Looks like SMDI and analog ports is an option (VG248) however, I'd like to just go QSIG but can't find anything definitive that this is supported.

Any thoughts or experience with this?

I'm suprised they want to integrate with End of Support Octel equipment. I know it's rock solid but I would ask Avaya about parts should something happen.

As of June, 2006, Avaya will no longer sell new cabinets or software upgrades for the Octel 200, 250 or 350 platforms--end of system expansions will follow in June, 2007 and by 2011 there will be very limited, if any, manufacturer support on any of the Octel products.

I agree... They are looking at migrating everything to CM and Unity in the end. This is just a short term "tactical" phase primarily driven by bugetary constraints (can affords Unity right now).
