Transcoder issue

Hi all..

I am confering Transcoder on a 2811. But i am having problem with the conference profile. Its not taking any maximum session and only shows 0 as the option

for max session. As it is not accepting any maximum session , so it is shutdown and i am unable to noshut it.

Here is my related configuration.

Can anyone further tell me how much each session of PVDM2-16 supports ?

Hello

How many PVDM2-16 do you have? On the sh run I can see that you have a transcoder with Maximum sessions set to 3. If you only have that PVDM avaialble the problem is that DSP resources cannot be shared with conferencing; you can have transcoding and voice channels shared on one DSP, but you cannot share those with conferencing and a PVDM2-16 only has 1 DSP with 16 Channels.

If possible, could you please upload a sh diag?

Hello Munawar,

This is what you have:

Slot 0: C2811 Mainboard

Slot 0: PVDM2-16

As mentioned before DSP resources cannot be shared between conferencing and transcoding; and since you have a PVDM2-16 (1 DSP) configured with a transcoding profile, you won't be able to setup conferencing. You will need yo obtain another PVDM2 for this to work.
