Does cisco vpn client support standard ipsec mode( not easy-vpn)?

I'm trying to use Cisco vpn client 5.0 connect to a third-party vpn gateway but failed. Definitely that vpn gateway does not support cisco easy-vpn, but, can cisco vpn client 5.0 support standard ipsec protocol, don't use easy-vpn? how to configure it?

In that URL, cisco VPN client connect to IOS VPN gateway, Xauth authentication was used with IOS local user/pass. Because my third-party VPN gateway does not support xauth, then I hope I can disable xauth authentication on cisco VPN client. Can I do it?
