When we are upgrade the IOS of router with latest ios which is 35 mb size file by using cisco tftp or any third party tftp software it's showing error like below
file size large.does not suuported by tftp protocol.

I would also like to make the suggestion that as file sizes of IOS get larger there are benefits from using FTP instead of TFTP. Not only does FTP not have a file size restriction but the performance of FTP for transferring large files is much better than the performance of TFTP.

Very, very true as latency increases, as you often see on WAN links. (NB: RCP also works well too.)

I agree with Joseph. I would rather use FTP when the file size goes beyond 32 MB.
