Hi,
I was wondering if someone could please clear up a bit of confusion i'm having.
Are the Cisco WLC4400's with Cisco WCS 5 management capable of any form of device tracking or RFID tracking without adding a 2700 device?
The documentation is a bit confusing and seems to suggest it does.
It would be nice to be able to find devices by looking on the maps or being able to add tags to a few bits of equipment.
thanks,
Matt.

You can get WCS with location but it will only allow you to tack on client. If you are looking to do true RFID tracking then you will need a location appliance. You will also need WCS and a WLC.

so i can do client tracking, not RFID, but i will still need an upgrade from the base license to the APOL one?
thanks again,
Matt

Yes you need the WCS with Location. Don't remember how much more that is from the base:)
