QoS: WFQ , non-TCP/UDP queuing clarification

Hi all,

I'm studing for QoS exam, and I've read that WFQ uses the following parameters to create a new dynamic-queue:

-IP source and destination

-TCP port source and destination

-ToS Field

-Protocol numeber (TCP/UDP)

What happens if traffic is neither TCP or UDP? How this traffic is treated?

Thanks in advance

Marco

Really you need not to worry because I'm pretty sure there is no such question in the exam.

Secondly, if the protocol has port numbers, these will be used to differentiate "flows". If protocol has no ports, only addresses will be used.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does

Ciao Paolo,

Thanks for your reply.

It would be great if you can provide a link to a written reference.

Search for WFQ in the internet. It has been written many years ago and at some point the author Fred Baker had wrote some papers about that.
