The release notes for 6.0 are on the support portal, or directly from https://supportportal.ironport.com/irppcnctr/srvcd?u=http://secure-support.soma.ironport.com/subproducts/x-c_series/relnotes/c_series/AsyncOS_6.0_ReleaseNotes.pdf&sid=900002

Thanks but it doesn't say what the bugfixes are between the 746 and 747 builds.

There is exactly one fix in this release, the one on the top.

Content Scanning Does Not Recognize Some Image File Types [Defect ID:40153, 39810]

This has been rarely sighted, so we didn't send a blanket announcement.

Thanks - this is now clear.

Another quick followup, when I did the upgrade from AsyncOS 5.5 to 6.0 it took a very long time (about 45 minutes total, IIRC, plus another 5 minutes to reboot).

Is the upgrade from 6.0.0-746 to -747 going to take as long? Or is this a "quick" upgrade that will take less than 5 minutes to install?

What kind of downtime should I plan for? (Our organisation only has a single Ironport which is our mail gateway)

From my experiense each IronPort upgrade take same time and it very depends on Internet line speed.
So, your upgrade from 6.0.0-746 to -747 will take about 45 minutes too...
