Cascading Two VG224

Answered Question
Apr 6th, 2008

Hello All,

I'm new to VOIP technology.

We are about to implement a SRST(2851 router) system at a remote site. The remote site is going to use 70 IP phones and 30 analog phones. We have two VG224 gateways to connect 30 analog phones.

Does that VG224 support cascading?

where can i find the example configuration of SRST routers with VG224 gateways ?

Thank you for your help.

Best wishes

ye

I have this problem too.

No cascading, each VG will need his own ethernet connection. If you need just 6 analog ports in addition to the 24 of a VG224, it would be probably easier to fit one evm-8fxs in the router instead of a 2nd vg224. These also give better results when connecting faxes and modems.

Thank you Paolo

So that VG224 doesn't support cascading.

we've a plan to add more analog phone later.

That's way we need another VG224.

Btw, where can i find the price list of the RJ21 connector and distribution panel for VG224.

Thanks in regards

Ye
