Hi. I am currently trying to connect to an external site from home via PPTP VPN using standard windows VPN client. I have a cisco 827. I have allowed port 1723 and GRE through the acl on the cisco. The VPN is hanging on the authenticating phase. I have used a packet monitoring tool to verify that traffic is being sent and received by my PC. I can see the PPTP traffic beign sent and received, and also am getting alot of LCP configuration requests being sent/received. I have treid the VPN connection using a different router (non cisco) and it works fine.
