VPN Endpoint w/ dynamic IP

Hi!

I have a quick question. I like to set up an IPSec VPN which terminates on a c871. The C871 is hooked up to the internet but gets a new IP from the ISP every 24hours. Is it possible to run an Endpoint on the box if the WAN-IP changes frequently? Do I need a static IP?

Hope you can help.

Thanks...Andy

if i understand correctly, you want to terminate remote access vpn's on the 871, which changes IP addresses every 24 hours?

if that's the case, you can do it, you just need to know the new address, or sign up for a dynamic DNS service, and connect using a DNS name.

Yes you can use dynamic ip on the router. It's not an issue.
