I have a customer who is not setup with AD right now (novell). Is there a way to bind to another source for LDAP? Will CUCM 6 be able to handle this?

PDI answered my question, you must use AD or Netscape. Can not bind to CUCM.

You can have integration with Novell LDAP. It works fine.

5 points for that answer, i was not aware that you could try it with Novell
Unfortunately the only ones on which we provide support are these:
The following directories are supported by Unified CM for synchronization:
â¢Microsoft Active Directory (AD) 2000 and 2003
â¢Netscape Directory Server 4.x, iPlanet Directory Server 5.1, and Sun ONE Directory Server 5.2

It works also with OpenLDAP and Tivoli Directory Server :)

Hi, I was wondering if you tried integrating CUPS with eDirectory following your last post on this issue?
I'm having two issues:
1) For some reason the Telephone Number field from eDirectory is not getting transferred to CUCM during the sync. So the field in CUCM is just showing blank.
2) Although I can log into CUPS and the authentication for that works fine, I am unable to browse the directory in order to add some names to my CUPC. Please note that the server health report shows that LDAP connected successfully. I've also done some sniffing that showed the LDAP query with "0" results.
Any further assistance on this appreciated.
