HI,

I am facing a slow response in LAN. When doing the sniffer trace i can see a mac address Xerox 00FE00 which is seninding a multicast of 1400 bytes. Please advice how to identify the MAC from the LAN.

You will have to use the full 48 bit MAc-address to identify the host

The command sh mac-address-table address will show you the port number from where this mac is learnt.Start from the core which mostly will point to a trunk port. Use cdp to identify the switch IP on that port and issue the command again. DO it till you find the access port
