3400 PBR with Default SDM

Hi! Trying to do PBR on a 3400 with Metro IP image. I have turned on "ip routing", set the SDM template to "default" and rebooted, but the switch still fails to take my "ip policy route-map XXX" statement". It accepts the command under my routed VLAN interface, but does not show the command in the config.

I do not have experience with the 3400 switches. But based on other switch experience I believe that you probably need the routing template in SDM to get support for PBR. Try enabling the routing template in SDM and let us know what happens.

Thanks Rick, but the 3400 only has default and layer-2 templates. The default template looks like this however...

The selected template optimizes the resources in

the switch to support this level of features for

8 routed interfaces and 1024 VLANs.

number of unicast mac addresses: 5K

number of IPv4 IGMP groups + multicast routes: 1K

number of IPv4 unicast routes: 9K

number of directly-connected IPv4 hosts: 5K

number of indirect IPv4 routes: 4K

number of IPv4 policy based routing aces: 0.5K

number of IPv4/MAC qos aces: 0.5K

number of IPv4/MAC security aces: 1K
