Never, never, never do a max unlimited for syslog.

Because the syslog file keeps increasing until it consumes all the resources so you can't allow new context to receive some resources for the syslog.

So, clear the logging buffer and then adjust the syslog resource and limit the max.

Hello Gilles,

by adjust the syslog resource, dou you mean

"limit-resource buffer syslog minimum nn maximum equal-to-min" ?

Thibault.

Thibault.

Correct. Make the syslog resource max equal-to-min.

Gilles.

Gilles,

Thank you for your reply.

just a quick question, does the memory re-allocation has any impact on the =existing contexts when change are made to the memory allocation in resource classes?

I mean I have to reduce the allcoated memory for most of the contexts on a content switch I i just wondering if it will bring anything down while change the allocated-memory values.

Regards.

Thibault.
