You need a feature set that supports encryption. For the version of 1700 series (IOSv12.3) you can use either c1710-k9o3sy-mz.12.3-1a or c1710-bk9no3r2sy-mz.12.3-1a

Hi there.
Yes I would love to know whether Cisco 1700 with IOS 12.4 supports SSH please?
I have tried the Cisco website for assistance but with no assistance.
Does anyone know whether this version supports SSH please.
Thank you
Chris

It is not so much a question of version as it is a question of feature set. Some feature sets (like IP basic) do not support SSH no matter what version it is. There are several feature sets for the 1700 in the 12.4 release version that do support SSH. When you look at the file name of the image if it includes the characters k9 then it is an image that does support SSH.
