It can be either a circuit fault, or the device on the other end is turned off or port shutdown.

Paolo,

Thanks for the reply..

What do you mean device on the other end..This is an isdn30 circuit..do you mean the Telco switch?

Yes, an inactive port on the switch would show AIS to your side.

Thank you, I am chasing the Telco provider already..

Be persistent, they will refuse to admit fault (they are taught so in school).

One technique that works, I' ve used it yesterday, you set loopback on the router ("loopback local line" under controller), tell them that you have, at that point the ball is in their field.

Paolo,

You are great!

I did set the loop back on the line and it came up with noi alarms...

Thanks

Post has saved me as well thanks paolo!! i am having the same issue with the alarms being sent.. the controller has been going up and down for weeks now its finally down and the telco are telling me its nothing to do with them so now at least i can tell them it is..

Thank you for your appreciation, and good luck!

no problems :) i take it back though its now flapping again. do you have any advice on diagnosing these sort of issues?

Dan

Hi, this problem is related to physical issues? I tried delete and create the controller and interface cem, and E1 never coming up, just stay in "Receiver is getting AIS"
