Hello,
I want to ask if there is a possibility to create manual or automatic (configuration ) traps on a 6509/6513. The questions is regarding to Network Monitoring with NNM and OVO. Need to see if manual generated traps are being showed up on these tools, rather that being created by a SNMP request of NNM or OVO.
Appreciate your help

The traps can be generated only by using SNMP which will help in network monitoring. The steps for configuring SNMP TRAPS are given below.
For devices running Cisco IOS software, provide the following commands:
1)(config)# snmp-server [community string] ro
2)(config)# snmp-server enable traps
3)(config)# snmp-server host [a.b.c.d] traps [community string]
where [community string] indicates an SNMP read-only community string and
[a.b.c.d] indicates the SNMP trap receiving host (the DFM server).
