Hello To all,
I was wondering if you may please explain to me what stands behind the network 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 command if put under ospf/eigrp config? and how will this command effect redistribution?
any help in the matter would be greatly appreciated.
Best Regards,
Jonathan

It does both - tells the router to run EIGRP on the interfaces and then the networks on the interfaces are advertised out.

As luck would have it we had a discussion about this yesterday in relation to EIGRP. It is also relevant to OSPF.

Hey Jon,
Thanks for the quick respond.
just one more question in the matter, if this command tells the router to run eigrp on all interfaces but does not advertise the interfaces, why will i use it, or in what case will i use this command?
Thanks in advance for the help.
Jonathan
