Hi,
is there a way to modify the gui inactivity logout timer?
So the admin doesn't get logout while not working on the gui.
I could not findanything in the documentation.

The ability to set/configure the GUI timeout is not currently available. There is a feature request for this. Feature request # 556.
Mention the FR #556 to your Ironport sales representative or sales engineer and tell them the benefit that it would bring.

If you are wanting to be able to keep the monitor running, try Opera. According to IronPort, Opera is not supported and you cannot use it to populate certain fields. However, it has a "Reload Every" feature accessed by right-clicking the screen. I refresh the System Overview every 15 minutes and that works great.
I've previously placed a request with IronPort to make Opera a supported web client. By the way, it used to work completely before V5.5.

You can also use Firefox, firefox as an extension called "Reload Every" and that does the same trick.
