Need help in Ciscoworks/LMS

Hi techies,

Am New to network Management domain and ciscoworks.

My query may seem to be kiddish in this forum but of course this is the best place I could get the best answer :-).

I just need to know that whether Through ciscoworks can I access the devices discovered by it, Means is it possible to configure anything on end devices using Ciscoworks.

if yes, How. is there any APIs provided to users to connect to Ciscoworks and then to the destination devices.

I have heard about dcrcli but it doesnt seem to be helping me in above case.

cwcli is the closest you'll find to an API for remote access to the device configuration ability of ciscoworks. You can create a parameterized file (a configuration script with a varible where the device identity should be) and have that as the object of your manipulation. As long as the device is supported by ciscoworks RME, you should be able to do anything you want.

Actually I need to integrate Cisco Works with third party Tool. in which I need some API to connect Cisco works and then in turn I need some APIs to configure end devices(Network Elements) through Ciscoworks.

Could any body provide me such details /links
